TRANSFORMATIONAL POETRY WORKSHOPS
Adult Workshops at Art from Ashes
Adult workshops allow participants to express themselves through poetry, using seldom-used
right-brain creative ability and the power of words to heal. The words we choose to define ourselves and our reality can dictate how we think, what we do—even our experiences and circumstances. By learning to harness the creativity of the right-brain and express yourself honestly and beautifully, you will be empowered to change your life and achieve your highest goals. Each six-week session is 1 hour and 15 minutes a week and is limited to six people.
Our new afternoon forum condenses the prompts and exercises into one 4-hour afternoon session for those with schedules that don't permit attendance once a week.
Poetry writing workshops are designed to enhance the connection between the cognitive self and the creative right brain and do not focus on writing skills development. All levels of writers (including those who think they are not) are welcome and will benefit. Adult workshops help support our work with youth.
"This workshop was enlightening, encouraging, and most of all, honest. In this safe and generous space I overheard myself saying things I did not know I knew."
—Rev. Greg Cummins, Montview Boulevard Presbyterian Church
"The workshops very much met my deepest emotional needs at this time/moment in my life. It was a release and I shared aspects of the experience with loved ones."
—Jennifer Hampton, dance therapist
"This was a growth experience and an awareness catalyst."
—Jane Schmitz, St. Barnabas Episcopal Church

INTRODUCTORY
Art from Ashes uses the latest research in left-brain/right-brain functioning and the role of creativity in transformation to encourage participants to access the creative subconscious. The process is designed to allow participants to recognize their inherent creative power and how perception affects our identity and our reality.
:: Saturdays from 11 am to 12.15 pm, March 3–April 7 with Catherine O'Neill Thorn
$175 payment due by Feb 25 :: check, cash or pay online with PayPal below

INTERMEDIATE (participants must have completed an Introductory Session)
THE FOUR AGREEMENTS
In his book, don Miguel Ruiz reveals the source of self-limiting beliefs that rob us of joy and create needless suffering. When we are ready to change these agreements, there are four deceptively simple, yet powerful agreements that we can adopt as guiding principles. At this intermediate workshop, we will reference "The Four Agreements" and create poems that reinforce the powerful transformation of our lives through new "agreements."
:: This session is not yet scheduled; Purchase in advance to secure your spot!
ADVANCED (participants must have completed the Introductory and at least one Intermediate Session)
BOLDNESS :: Living Your Life With Confidence
"What you can do or dream you can do, begin it; boldness has genius, power, and magic in it." —Johann von Goethe
Our self-concept is based on our thoughts, circumstances and experiences, which form a composite image of the person we believe ourselves to be. We can never act in a manner inconsistent or contrary to our self-concept. Through poetry, you can learn to distinguish your self-concept from your circumstance and experiences and choose a life of grace and power.

THE AFTERNOON FORUM
THIS WORKSHOP HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL POETRY MONTH!
Due to increased demand for an afternoon workshop to accommodate those unable to commit to a six-week process, Art from Ashes will hold an afternoon forum on Sat., April 14. The three-hour forum will use the award-winning Phoenix Rising transformational process to encourage participants to access the creative subconscious and the power of words to facilitate inner clarity. The process allows participants to recognize our inherent creative power and the importance of perception in how we live. The forum also serves as a wonderful refresher for those who previously have taken the 6-week workshop series.
:: Saturday, April 14 from 1 to 4.30 pm with a half-hour break at 2.30 pm
$99 payment due by April 4 :: check, cash or pay online with PayPal below
